Join an international technology team building next-generation open banking solutions used across Europe. Our platform enables secure, reliable, and high-quality connectivity to financial institutions—powering innovative products and services in the digital payments ecosystem. You will work in a highly skilled, collaborative environment alongside teammates located mainly in Denmark, Ireland, and Romania. As a Java Developer, you will contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of a large-scale open banking platform. You will work on advanced API solutions focused on security, data processing, monitoring, onboarding automation, and high-performance connectivity. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, working in modern cloud environments, and collaborating with international teams. Our expectations Higher education degree in Computer Science or a related field. Approximately 6 years of relevant experience with Java development. Strong experience with building Java applications. Deep knowledge of, or willingness to learn, development in a cloud environment (Azure or AWS). Familiarity with the tools and concepts required for modern software development (VCS, test automation, CI/CD). A collaborative mindset and a passion for working as part of a team. Ability to work effectively in an international, cross-functional team. Proficiency in English, fluent Polish. Hybrid work 2-3 days per week (Gdansk). Welcome Skills Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally Terraform, Knowledge of application and API security (Certificates, HTTPS, etc.), Experience with containers (Docker). Prior experience in highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector), Passion for problem-solving and continuous learning. Key tasks Design, develop, and deliver software solutions based on modern Java technologies. Modernize and adjust existing applications according to internal standards and best practices. Perform system maintenance, identify root causes, and resolve issues efficiently. Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services and APIs. Collaborate closely with developers, testers, architects, and business stakeholders to design new features and enhancements. Work within a team environment to achieve shared goals using modern engineering tools and processes (VCS, CI/CD, test automation, ticketing systems).
