The project is a digital subscription service offering unlimited access to thousands of national and international magazines through an app available on iOS, Android, and Web.
You will work on a cloud-based, microservices architecture, with a focus on Next.js for new development and Ruby on Rails for maintaining and extending backend functionality. You might be the perfect match if you are/have:
- Strong experience with Node.js (3+ years), especially in backend development and API optimization.
- Experience with Next.js (1-2 years) for building scalable web apps.
- Proficiency in TypeScript for maintainable and scalable code.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with MongoDB and Redis, mainly for managing existing databases.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and frameworks like Playwright.
- Strong understanding of REST API design and backend service integration.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and write clean, maintainable code.
Moreover, we appreciate skills in these areas:
- Knowledge of Datadog or similar monitoring tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with other monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Docker and containerization experience.
