The ideal candidate has strong backend experience with Magento 2 and solid frontend experience with Next.js, along with a deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, performance optimization, and clean, scalable architecture. In this role, you will be responsible for both server-side and client-side development — building and maintaining Magento 2 backend components while also creating modern, high-performance front-end experiences using Next.js. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, robust e-commerce solutions. This position is ideal for a developer who enjoys owning both backend and frontend aspects of e-commerce development. You'll work with modern technologies and a team that values innovation, clean architecture, and continuous improvement. Workplace: 100% Remote Your responsibilities Develop, customize, and maintain backend features for Magento 2 websites. Build custom modules, extensions, and integrations based on business requirements. Optimize server-side performance, troubleshoot backend issues, and improve scalability. Integrate third-party services, APIs, payment gateways, and shipping solutions. Work with database schemas, MySQL optimization, and server-side architecture. Ensure backend security best practices and stable production environments. Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement processes. Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using Next.js. Integrate the frontend with Magento 2 backend using REST/GraphQL APIs. Build reusable components, optimize UX performance, and ensure cross-browser compatibility. Collaborate with design teams to deliver pixel-perfect UI implementations. Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously refine front-end performance and SEO. Our requirements Strong proven experience in Backend Magento 2 Development (architecture, custom modules, APIs). Frontend experience with Next.js (React-based development, components, SSR/ISR/CSR). Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Experience integrating APIs and third-party services. Understanding of responsive design and modern UI/UX principles. Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Optional Experience with caching tools (Varnish, Redis) and performance optimization. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Knowledge of Docker or containerized environments. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of SEO and accessibility best practices.
