You will join a global IT consulting company that specialises in transformational management and technology. After joining the organisation, you will be supporting their client from the banking industry. Your expertise will be key to improving a client's service quality through automation and innovation.

• DevOps delivery, including the buildout and maintenance of environments to support internal projects,
• Building and maintaining large scale database systems both on-premises and cloud-based,
• Automating workflows and processes, especially related to keeping systems up to date,
• Observability, including the design and implementation of logging, monitoring and alerting to support incident management and prevent user impact, as well as tracking and managing capacity,
• Operational management including root cause analysis for major or repeat incidents and management of service delivery, troubleshooting complex issues and building root cause remediation plans,
• Scrum team management, able to take on Agile lead, Scrum Master or deputy team lead duties as required,
• Collaborating with stakeholders at various levels across Cybersecurity and IT teams to develop and maintain solutions that protect the organisation,
• Investigate and deliver innovation within the Cybersecurity team for both BAU and strategic projects,
• Assist with the training, development and mentoring of colleagues within the Cybersecurity DevOps community,
• Prepare documentation and keep it up to date.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Strong understanding of RHEL (min. RHCE level) - design, build, maintain, optimise, troubleshoot
• Strong understanding of IP networking - protocols, technologies, tools
• Good knowledge of Ansible for automating repetitive and ad-hoc tasks
• Good knowledge of scripting languages so you can automatise/optimise activities
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Delivery tools to automate processes
• Good understanding of the Vulnerability Management processes
• Good understanding of the Change Management processes

Experience with the following will be a plus:
• Windows Server OS,
• MSSQL (including always-on), PostgreSQL database engines,
• Cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure or Ali with a focus on automation of everything (infrastructure, configuration, lifecycle management),
• Cloud-based database implementations,
• Implementing observability - logging, monitoring and alerting on enterprise infrastructure - Application Dynamics, Splunk, xMatters,
• Implementing and maintaining highly scalable and resilient platforms and applications,
• Understanding of and experience with technologies deployed on a large scale in a global IT enterprise,
• Technologies such as virtualisation, containers,
• Tools for secret management, and source code management technologies: Hashicorp Vault, GIT,
• Working in an Agile team - managing work in Jira and engagements in Jira Service Desk, incident and change management with ServiceNOW,
• Experience of coding, scripting (bash, Python), SQL (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and use of GitHub and code management best practices.

Optional / nice to have:
• Experience working with Audit, and Compliance requests and procedures,
• Experience taking on Scrum Master role, or in managing Jira Boards and task prioritisation,
• Ability to adapt and understand new technologies - being self-motivated to learn,
• Collaborating with stakeholders at various levels across Cybersecurity and other IT teams, to develop solutions that protect the organisation,
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication and report-writing skills,
• Ability to interact appropriately with users of various technical skill levels,
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with users to find the best solution,
• Ability to work in multi-country, culturally diverse and time-zone-separated teams.
