Governance and Control: Strong understanding of governance frameworks, with the confidence to challenge existing controls and recommend data-backed policy improvements. Our requirements Analytical Thinking: Able to interpret complex credit data, identify trends, and generate insights that guide strategic decisions. Credit Risk Expertise: Skilled in applying credit scoring techniques, portfolio analysis, and risk modelling across the consumer credit lifecycle. Technical Capability: Proficient in SQL and data warehouse tools, using data-driven methods to assess, monitor, and forecast credit risk. Critical Challenge: Confident in questioning assumptions and influencing stakeholders through evidence-based reasoning and sound judgment. Problem Solving & Innovation: Uses creativity and structured thinking to design effective solutions to complex credit risk challenges. Autonomy & Accountability: Demonstrates initiative, independence, and strong organisational skills to deliver results under tight deadlines. Collaboration: Builds trusted partnerships across teams and shares expertise to strengthen overall analytical capability. Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related finance field. Minimum 2 years of proven experience in credit risk management, ideally within consumer finance or another regulated industry. Demonstrated ability to independently deliver high-impact credit risk projects from concept to implementation. Solid understanding of credit risk analysis, modelling, and portfolio management techniques. Advanced technical expertise in SQL, data warehouse (DWH) usage, and analytical tools. Proven experience collaborating across finance, collections, and commercial teams to align risk strategies. Strong strategic mindset paired with practical, hands-on problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and confidently.
