Senior SAP HANA Developer

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining cutting-edge data models, pipelines, and backend solutions to support complex business processes and analytics needs in manufacturing, engineering, and operations environments. If you are passionate about data optimization, scalable systems, and delivering high-impact data solutions, we want to hear from you Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models, such as Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, and SQLScript to support backend data processing and aggregations Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP and non-SAP systems, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other third-party sources Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable data flows and data architectures, enabling robust analytics and operational reporting Develop end-to-end data workflows, ensuring high data quality while identifying and resolving data discrepancies through monitoring and troubleshooting processes Work alongside frontend teams to enable real-time insights and interactive dashboards via SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other visualization tools Support and enhance business processes with custom analytics, KPI tracking, and actionable insights, all powered by SAP HANA backend solutions Optimize data processing performance for large datasets and complex workflows, leveraging SAP HANA in-memory database capabilities Contribute to cross-team projects by working collaboratively with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to gather requirements and deliver high-quality, tailored solutions Actively participate in Agile (SAFe) workflows, including sprints, planning, and retrospectives, while delivering incremental value to stakeholders Document and maintain technical best practices, processes, and knowledge sharing for key SAP HANA solutions Requirements 5 years of experience in SAP HANA development or equivalent roles in the SAP space Proven expertise in SAP HANA native modeling, including strong hands-on experience with Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, and SQLScript Experience in designing and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines, with specific experience in SAP environments like HANA Familiarity with the integration of SAP systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or other legacy systems into data workflows Expertise in data performance optimization, database tuning, and ensuring scalability for large-scale datasets Experience working in SAP BW environments is a plus, including familiarity with InfoObjects, DSOs, Process Chains, and data transformations Strong understanding of data architecture principles and hands-on experience with SAP Web IDE and BW/4HANA tools Proficiency in Agile methodologies and the use of collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset Nice to have Background in the manufacturing or engineering industries, especially in areas such as quality assurance or supply chain analytics Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Intelligence, or related modern SAP integration tools Knowledge of advanced visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI in addition to SAC We offer We gather like-minded people: Engineering community of industry professionals Friendly team and enjoyable working environment Flexible schedule and opportunity to work remotely within Poland Chance to work abroad for up to 60 days annually Business-driven relocation opportunities We provide growth opportunities: Outstanding career roadmap Leadership development, career advising, soft skills, and well-being programs Certification (GCP, Azure, AWS) Unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning, Get Abstract, Cloud Guru English classes We cover it all: Stable income (Employment Contract or B2B) Participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan Benefits package (health insurance, multisport, shopping vouchers) Strategically located offices featuring entertainment and relaxation zones, table tennis and football, free snacks, fantastic coffee, and more Referral bonuses Corporate, social and well-being events Please, note: The set of bonuses might vary based on the role you apply for – specifics will be discussed with our recruiter during the general interview We will reach out to selected candidates exclusively EPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services.
