Dear Consultant We are seeking a Solution Integrator / PSA Engineer with deep technical experience in Energy Management Systems (EMS/DMS/OMS) integration, middleware technologies, and service-oriented architectures. The role involves designing and developing software interfaces, middleware components, and integration services to connect mission-critical Grid and Energy Management applications . You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including ESB frameworks, Oracle databases, Apache middleware , and Java-based services in a collaborative engineering environment. Location: Edinburgh, UK, Bucharest (Hybrid ) Remote EU with – occasional visit to both locations) Contract Type: B2B / Freelance Duration: Long-term engagement Start Date: ASAP Experience Required: 5 years minimum Language: English Key Responsibilities Design and develop integration solutions for real-time grid and energy management applications. Integrate diverse systems using ESB/IBUS technologies (Fuse ESB, TIBCO, WebSphere, etc.). Author, maintain, and enhance middleware and interface software . Develop and implement WSDLs and XSDs for service-oriented architectures. Collaborate with software teams to support EMS/DMS/OMS integration layers. Develop pure Java-based middleware and business logic applications. Optimize and support Oracle/SQL database integrations. Perform versioning, debugging, and continuous improvement of integration pipelines. Ensure scalability, stability, and reliability of real-time mission-critical systems. Required Skills & Experience 5 years of experience in integration and middleware engineering . Proven experience integrating with ESB/IBUS technologies (Fuse ESB, TIBCO, WebSphere). Hands-on experience with Apache products: Geronimo, Tomcat, Camel, ServiceMix, Axis. Strong programming skills in C, C++, KSH, and Java . Expertise in PL/SQL and Oracle database development. Experience developing WSDLs/XSDs for web services integration. Minimum 2 years of experience working on EMS/DMS/OMS applications . Familiarity with Grid software applications and mission-critical system integration. Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. Experience developing for both Windows and Linux environments . Soft Skills Strong collaboration and communication across technical teams. Attention to detail and problem-solving orientation. Ability to work autonomously on complex integration challenges. Clear understanding of enterprise system architectures and middleware.
