Start : ASAP Contract : B2B, 4 months Work mode : 100% remote Project language: English Recruitment process: 2 interviews Summary: The QA / Compliance Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring that data quality and compliance standards align with SOC 1 requirements, bridging the gap between data quality assurance (QA) and compliance within the organization. Responsibilities: Test Strategy: Develop a data-quality framework addressing completeness, consistency, and referential integrity across 50 RDS sources. Compliance Verification: Map SOC 1 control objectives to AWS services (logging, access, backups) and manage an evidence matrix. Automation: Create lightweight data-validation scripts using Python/SQL and integrate QA checks with CI/CD pipelines. Audit Readiness: Prepare test records, traceability matrices, and deliverables for internal QA and client CIO review. Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on defect patterns to DevOps and Data Engineering teams for prevention strategies. Key Requirements: 5 years of QA or Compliance testing experience in data-platform projects (preferably AWS). Familiarity with SOC 1, SOC 2, or GxP validation frameworks. Strong skills in SQL and Python for automated data verifications. Experience with AWS tools such as CloudTrail, Config, or Athena for evidence validation. Excellent documentation skills. Nice to Have: Experience in regulated data environments. Ability to explain validation of controls comprehensively, beyond just functional tests.
