Cloud Engineer Miejsce pracy: Katowice Technologies we use Expected Linux Terraform Ansible Kubernetes Optional AWS GitLab Jenkins Bash Python Operating system Linux About the project We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska and support our client — one of the largest broadcasting and media companies in France. You will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based environments for media platforms. The work involves automation, deployment, and documentation of infrastructure services using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Argo CD on AWS (EKS). Tech stack on the project: •Cloud: AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch) •Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker •GitOps & CD: Argo CD •IaC & Automation: Terraform, Ansible •OS: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Amazon Linux) •CI/CD: GitLab CI, Jenkins •Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana Your responsibilities Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and related components. Use Argo CD and GitOps principles to manage application deployments. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible. Manage and monitor Linux-based systems in cloud environments. Write and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes. Ensure system stability, scalability, and compliance with security best practices. Collaborate with senior engineers and architects but be able to work independently on assigned tasks. Participate in continuous improvement and automation initiatives. Our requirements Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cloud, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineer. Good knowledge of Linux systems administration. Practical experience with Terraform and Ansible. Basic understanding of Kubernetes and cloud environments (AWS preferred). Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results. Strong documentation and communication skills. Fluent French (spoken and written). Willingness to occasionally travel abroad and visit our Katowice office. Optional Experience with Argo CD or other GitOps tools. Knowledge of EKS and other AWS services. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins). Scripting experience in Bash or Python. Understanding of networking, monitoring, or security best practices.
