Your responsibilities

- designing and delivering end-to-end solutions across real-time data streaming, data governance, and batch data processing,
- architecting scalable, reliable, and future-proof data solutions that connect seamlessly across the organization,
- working closely with engineering and product teams to build and evolve data capabilities on AWS, with strong integration to messaging architecture, schema management, and stream processing,
- applying broad knowledge of the data ecosystem - covering ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers - to guide technology choices and ensure cohesive platform design,
- balancing strategic vision with practical implementation, bridging the gap between architecture and delivery,
- promoting best practices in data governance, observability, and platform automation to ensure high standards of quality and maintainability.

Our requirements

- proven experience with streaming data technologies like Kafka, Flink,
- familiarity with modern table formats such as Apache Iceberg,
- solid understanding of Data Governance concepts, including Data Contracts, Data Cataloging, Lineage, and Data Quality,
- familiarity with Data Mesh concepts and experience working in decentralized data environments,
- experience designing scalable, AWS cloud-native data architectures,
- familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CDK),
- strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Optional

- hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow,
- experience in using dbt (data build tool),
- previous experience in a senior data engineering role is a plus.
