Job Title: Product Director Digital Commerce

Description: We are seeking an experienced Product Director to lead our Digital Commerce team. As a Product Director, you will be responsible for defining and delivering innovative digital products that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning: Partner with functional and technical leaders to identify and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needs
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Plans: Develops and executes strategic plans in support of key objectives in a timely and fiscally responsible manner
  • Drive Growth: Drives growth for the business by applying domain expertise to provide thought leadership and translate vision into action
  • Inform and Drive Strategic Alignment: Informs and drives strategic alignment and partnerships with functional and technical peers and leaders
  • Connect the Dots: Connects the dots across multiple levels and related functions to understand the business holistically
  • Evaluate Research and Market Analysis: Evaluates research and market analysis, meets with third-party vendors, and maintains knowledge of industry innovations and technology platforms to inform strategy
  • Establish and Nurture Strategic Vendor Relationships: Establishes and nurtures strategic vendor relationships; influences vendors to align to domain, portfolio, and enterprise strategic objectives

Delivery and Execution:

  • Define and Communicate Value Propositions: Defines and communicates value propositions, OKRs, success metrics, and outcomes
  • Develop, Plan, and Implement Sustainable Processes: Develops, plans, and implements sustainable, repeatable, and reliable processes
  • Oversee Process Improvements: Oversees process improvements
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Drives operational excellence to create internal customer satisfaction and meet operational metrics while prioritizing external customer needs
  • Understand and Articulate Value Creation: Understands and articulates the value creation and business proposition to teams and functional partners

People:

  • Provide Leadership, Mentoring, and Coaching: Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports
  • Manage and Coordinate Strategic Direction: Manages and coordinates strategic direction for staff
  • Attract, Retain, Develop, and Motivate Top Talent: Attracts, retains, develops, and motivates top talent
  • Conduct Annual and Mid-Year Reviews: Conducts annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback
  • Foster Collaboration: Fosters collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments
  • Act as a Proponent of Modern Software Development Practices: Acts as a proponent of modern software development practices
  • Advocate for End Users and Stakeholders: Advocates for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product, empathizing with and understanding user needs
  • Work with the Product Team: Works with the product team to continuously assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and understand next steps
  • Manage Cross-Functional Team and Stakeholder Expectations: Manages cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy and provides education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience
  • Guide More Junior Team Members: Guides more junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks
  • Participate in Learning Activities: Participates in and contributes to learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice)
  • Other Duties: Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree program, degree in a field of study related to the job, or equivalent training and experience
  • 10+ Years of Experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Industry Recognition: Industry recognition or significant expertise within Digital Commerce space, specifically in the top/mid shopping funnel
  • Mastery of Vision, Problem Solving, Innovation, and Distilling Simple Actionable Solutions: Mastery of vision, problem-solving, innovation, and distilling simple actionable solutions
  • Mastery of Working as a Leader of Product Managers: Mastery of working as a leader of Product Managers in a modern software development-based enterprise environment and overseeing multiple products
  • Mastery of Modern Software Development Product Management Practices: Mastery of modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies
  • Mastery of Working in a Fast-Paced, Fluid Environment: Mastery of working in a fast-paced, fluid environment where priorities shift on a regular basis
