Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team at The Nielsen Company. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing plans for software and hardware, maintaining strategic supplier relationships, and owning key contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align our enterprise professional services strategy with effective IT procurement category strategies to deliver best-in-class products and services at the lowest possible cost.
  • Support and execute the global IT sourcing strategy.
  • Lead strategic procurement activities involving the assessment, selection, negotiation, and management of externally contracted services.
  • Negotiate requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and enterprise policies.
  • Nurture stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, helping identify critical business requirements, and providing sourcing and procurement services that meet expectations.
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity for new business opportunities, process improvement, procedures, and/or systems to improve organizational efficiencies and cost controls.
  • Provide insight into how to best develop and leverage supplier capabilities to meet business needs.
  • Drive Total Cost of Ownership reductions for categories through analytics.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2-5 years of experience in technology product and services procurement with expertise in driving cost-saving initiatives and other desired business outcomes.
  • Experience/passion in IT procurement space.
  • Experience developing and implementing category strategy leading to year-over-year KPI improvement (for example, cost savings, diversity spend, sustainability, etc.).
  • Prior experience in sourcing event management (RFX management): scoping & planning, detailed requirements definition & SOW development, evaluation & selection, negotiation & contract award, implementation, relationship & contract management, and contract transition & termination.
  • Good understanding of product offerings and/or experience negotiating enterprise agreements with large IT suppliers.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to multi-task is critical for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with potentially conflicting tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Ariba, Power BI, or other P2P platforms or spend analytics applications.
