About the Role

Xebia sp. z o.o. is seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Xebia Poland community of PHP developers, working closely together in the PHP Guild.
  • Be supported by a Team Leader and have opportunities for development as a Tech Leader or Solutions Architect.
  • Collaborate with clients from various industries.
  • Work in an agile environment with tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
  • Implement business requirements provided by the client.
  • Share knowledge with other team members.
  • Work in cloud and on-premises environments.
Your Profile
  • Be ready to start immediately.
  • Have 8+ years of experience as a backend software engineer.
  • Have very good knowledge of PHP 8.
  • Have experience with other backend languages like Java, C#, Kotlin, and Go.
  • Be familiar with the OOP paradigm and SOLID principles.
  • Have a solid understanding of applying DDD to API-first, high-traffic, multi-tenant architectures.
  • Have experience working on large-scale software projects and distributed, highly-available, and customer-facing platforms.
  • Care about code quality.
  • Be able to independently create readable, testable code in accordance with standards.
  • Be familiar with web application security issues.
  • Be comfortable discussing architectural decisions and proposed design solutions.
  • Have experience communicating with business representatives.
  • Understand customer requirements and be able to deliver relevant business value.
  • Speak English well (B2+) and Polish (B1/B2).
  • Be located in the European Union region and have a work permit.
