We are seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Transformation Lead to spearhead strategic initiatives for one of our major banking clients within the Technology Infrastructure and Enterprise Services division. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager for Europe, UK, and Middle East & Africa, this role will involve close collaboration with IT Program and Operations Managers to drive digital transformation and IT strategy projects.

The focus will be on planning, executing, and delivering essential projects, including:

  • Regional Data Center Infrastructure Migrations: Managing large-scale upgrades to critical business systems, relocating production workloads to optimized locations, and deploying infrastructure for business applications.
  • Implementation of IT Strategy Initiatives: Driving initiatives for infrastructure optimization, automation, and adoption of Cloud Solutions (both private and public).

This position requires a strong leader with exceptional project management skills to support strategic IT goals effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiating, planning, and executing projects while identifying and driving the critical path and key milestones in the schedule.
  • Recognizing risks that could affect project outcomes and following up to ensure mitigation and resolution.
  • Monitoring project progress closely to ensure timely completion in line with Company project management standards, tools, and protocols.
  • Managing timely communication of project status and issues to all stakeholders—preparing and regularly reporting on project metrics required by various risk management groups.

Requirements:

  • Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Project Management methodologies (such as waterfall and agile) and related techniques.
  • Strong ability to communicate, negotiate, influence, and build relationships at all levels, along with effective skills in meeting management, presentations, and interpersonal interactions.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise IT architecture and components, including Telephony/Voice, Data Networking, Storage/Servers for Distributed Systems, End-User Computing (VDI), Cloud solutions (PaaS, SaaS), with a basic understanding of Databases, Middleware, and Operating Systems.
