About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the firmware development effort, interacting with cross-functional teams within Blink and Amazon. Your focus will be on creating innovative solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring product quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement firmware for connected devices, including cameras, using C/C++ programming languages
- Leverage expertise in embedded CPU architecture, security technologies, and real-time systems
- Work collaboratively with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance
- Collaborate with software teams to develop and integrate firmware components into the overall system architecture
- Participate in design reviews, code walkthroughs, and testing to ensure high-quality firmware
Requirements
- Mastery of C/C++ firmware development with constrained resources (MIPS, RAM, FLASH, I/O)
- Extensive experience with embedded CPU architecture, security protocols, and real-time systems
- Familiarity with Linux and/or RTOS, including external libraries in C applications
- Experience with reading schematics and using hardware lab equipment (scopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
- Proven track record of successfully developing and releasing multiple products
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of audio/video codec development
- Experience with camera image processing and embedded Linux (uBoot, Kernel, Driver)
- Proficiency in bare-metal, assembly, BSP, POST, and RTOS
- Experience with wireless stacks (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, sub-GHz)
