Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in CE Data Foundation. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about designing and implementing data pipelines that acquire, cleanse, transform, and publish data to Databricks backend.
The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Pyspark for data processing and transformation, as well as hands-on experience with Databricks, including cluster management, notebook development, and job scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient data pipelines using Pyspark and Databricks.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Partner with data asset managers and architects to ensure technical solutions provide high-quality data.
- Leverage coding standards and best practices to ensure efficient and reusable services and components.
- Provide level 3 support for developed products (bug fixing).
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Pyspark for data processing and transformation.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Databricks, including cluster management, notebook development, and job scheduling.
- Proficiency in Airflow for workflow management and orchestration of data pipelines.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes using Pyspark, Databricks, and Airflow.
- Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling techniques.
- Understanding of data integration patterns, data lakes, and data quality best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure cloud platform; Google Cloud Platform will be a plus.
