Electrical Engineer for Power Electronics Development

In this role, you will be part of a global team that is dedicated to developing new efficient solutions for integrating renewables, providing energy storage, improving power quality, and enabling green transportation & eMobilty solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled engineers from various disciplines, including Power Electronics, Control Engineers, HW Electronics, and Mechanical Engineers.
Job Description
You will develop a new breakthrough modular converter platform based on wide bandgap semiconductors (e.g. SiC) for a range of grid and DC applications. Your primary objective will be to push the technology boundaries in terms of efficiency, size, and operational performance.
Your responsibilities will include specification, selection, qualification, and verification of semiconductors, passive components, and protection concepts. You will also contribute to feasibility studies on converter topologies, gain knowledge on Power Grids applications and requirements, and support a fast, iterative design process in a cross-functional, dedicated team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a BSc/MSc degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related field. You should have experience with power electronic converters/power supplies development processes, simulation tools (Spice, SIMetrix, Simulink, PLECS...), control theory for Power Electronics applications, and working with laboratory equipment and converter prototyping and testing.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies are essential qualities for this position. You should also have strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
