Job Summary

Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a skilled Ukrainian/Russian linguist to provide high-quality interpretation and translation services to support our operations in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct accurate and consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation from Ukrainian/Russian to English.
  • Translate various syntax and expressions, including colloquial and slang phrases, from English, Ukrainian/Russian, and vice versa.
  • Work and travel in austere environments, providing advice on cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, and documents.
  • Accurately scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Ukrainian/Russian and English speaking and writing, with Level 3/3 of the Common European Framework (CEF) or native proficiency.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ukrainian/Russian culture, with previous work in the region and native familiarity.
  • Experience interpreting and translating Ukrainian/Russian into English.
  • Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in standard dialect and vocabulary, rarely requiring paraphrasing or explanation.
  • Familiarity with local culture and customs, with the ability to operate within the local populace.
  • Citizenship and Secret Clearance.
