Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at Shift4. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our online card payment system.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality Java code for our online payment system, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with our cross-functional team to identify and prioritize technical requirements, and develop solutions to meet business needs.
  • Work with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of our system.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to our coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our system.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of hands-on Java development experience, with a strong focus on problem-solving and autonomy.
  • High level of expertise in Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Academic degree in IT or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a predisposition for innovative thinking.
  • Decision-making approach and a goal-oriented attitude.
  • Open-minded and easygoing personality, with excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with frontend technologies, such as JavaScript, React, or TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Gradle, AWS, or Docker.
  • Experience in the payments or fintech industry.
