We're looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cross-functional, self-organized team, you will play a critical role in shaping and improving our platform. You will work on mission-critical services that demand high performance, compliance, security, and uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Design, Develop, and Maintain Scalable Backend Services: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Own the Full Software Development Lifecycle: Own the full software development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring that our services are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure Software Quality: Ensure software quality through thorough code reviews, testing, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Stakeholders: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and refine technical requirements.
  • Contribute to System Architecture: Contribute to system architecture and play a key role in technology selection.
  • Provide Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Drive Technical Excellence: Drive technical excellence and promote best practices across teams.
  • Evaluate and Introduce New Technologies: Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Guide Architectural Decisions: Guide architectural decisions to ensure long-term maintainability and system scalability.
  • Participate in On-Call Rotations: Participate in on-call rotations to maintain platform reliability.
  • Document Solutions and Maintain Internal Knowledge Bases: Document solutions and maintain internal knowledge bases to support effective knowledge sharing.

Requirements

\
  • Proven Expertise in Java or Scala: Proven expertise in Java or Scala, with deep knowledge of backend architectures, distributed systems, and scalable infrastructure.
  • Strong Software Design Skills: Strong software design skills with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Hands-on Experience with Unit, Integration, Performance, and Acceptance Testing: Hands-on experience with unit, integration, performance, and acceptance testing.
  • Strong Applied Skills in Java: Strong applied skills in Java, with experience in backend architectures and related frameworks.
  • Proficiency in HTTP, RESTful APIs, and Networking Fundamentals: Proficiency in HTTP, RESTful APIs, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP).
  • Familiarity with Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
