Job Description

The Senior Model Development Expert will contribute to the development, update, and maintenance of Estimation Approaches used to assess creditworthiness of BNY counterparties. This role involves creating options for theoretical frameworks, collecting data needed, supporting assumptions, and reviewing outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and updating Estimation Approaches in accordance with corporate-wide standards.
  • Monitoring performance of Estimation Approaches and identifying possible deterioration.
  • Executing Estimation Approaches in accordance with approval conditions and communicating results to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Econometrics, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong theoretical background and knowledge of Credit Risk Measurement concepts.
  • Experience with quantitative modeling, numerical analysis, and computational methods.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to explain abstract concepts to non-experts.
