Key Responsibilities:- Sourcing and Negotiation: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of scrap materials specifically suited for slab casting. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply chain.
- Procurement and Logistics: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible deals. Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of scrap materials to meet production requirements.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all purchased scrap materials meet quality standards and specifications for slab casting. Coordinate with the quality control team to inspect and approve incoming materials.
- Supplier Management: Maintain accurate records of suppliers, contracts, and purchase orders. Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the scrap metal industry
- Strong knowledge of the scrap metal market and sourcing strategies
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
