Job Title: Country Trade Compliance Officer

About the Role

This position reports to the Country Holding Officer / EL Customs and Global Trade Leader. As a Country Trade Compliance Officer, you will serve as the single point of contact for local trade compliance authorities, country management, and local business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the ABB Trade Program, applying a risk-based approach and adjusting to local business needs.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to monitor, manage, and mitigate trade compliance-related risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure trade compliance is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed at local business line level.
  • Guide, motivate, and develop nominated local trade compliance officers (LTCOs).
  • Ensure transaction-based compliance with regulatory requirements in customs, export control, sanctions, and embargoes.
  • Classify imported and exported products, software, and technologies according to relevant national and international export control regulations.
  • Ensure trade-related archiving requirements are met and oversee trade compliance records.
  • Implement and effectively use ABB's custom and trade compliance management systems.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in Business, Legal, Supply Chain Compliance, or a related field. You should have several years of experience in business processes, end-to-end supply chain management, risk management, and logistics. People management and team leadership experience is also essential. Fluency in Polish and English is mandatory.
