Chief Data Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Architecture Lead to drive our data-driven initiatives across Germany, Poland, Italy, and Austria. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on GCP, while ensuring the smooth operation of existing on-premise systems running on an Oracle Exadata.

• Team Leadership:
  • Oversee and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Data Engineering:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on GCP.
  • Optimize data processing efficiency and performance using modern tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Data Governance:
  • Ensure adherence to data quality standards and best practices.
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
• Cloud Migration:
  • Drive and support the migration of existing on-premise data products into the cloud (GCP).
  • Ensure a seamless transition and optimize cloud-based infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven experience leading data engineering teams.
• Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for data-driven innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
