About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Financial Operations Leader to join our team at Danfoss. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations across multiple regions and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant close of general ledger.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure seamless execution of month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings, guaranteeing that all financial data is accurately reflected in our systems.
  2. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit activities, address queries from cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  3. Maintain robust controls to ensure adherence to group policies and statutory requirements, reviewing daily transactional activities for accuracy and compliance.
  4. Identify opportunities for process improvements, develop, and implement innovative solutions in R2R processes, working closely with the Global Process Owner.
  5. Supervise the update of process documents (SOP/BOP) as needed, ensuring that all documentation is current and compliant.
  6. Understand the tasks of the Financial Reporting team and be able to step in when necessary, providing hands-on support if required.
  7. Review KPI metrics related to the function, providing commentaries and root cause analysis where necessary, ensuring delivery of high-quality results.
  8. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, business controllers, local GS FS, auditors, regarding R2R processes for 3 regions, establishing regular communication with SSC key stakeholders to identify, track, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  9. Lead and oversee the R2R team, providing consistent leadership, mentoring through regular meetings, effective objective setting, motivation, delegation, and communication.
  10. Promote people development, establish an effective backup structure, career development, and actively plan for succession to replace individuals effectively.
  11. Support the Head of SSC in target setting, ensure operational costs of the R2R team align with budget forecasts.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA diploma preferred).
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a finance managerial role, with a team of over 10 people.
  • At least 2+ years of experience gained at a similar position in an international SSC/BPO environment.
  • Working knowledge in SAP ERP and user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills is essential.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.
  • Excellent General Accounting knowledge, including familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements, best practices, processes, and internal controls.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a tenacious approach to overcoming difficulties.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
