Senior Backend Engineer - Developer Productivity Specialist

At OLX, we're looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our Developer Productivity and Platform Engineering team. As a key member of our technology division, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity of software developers and engineers within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance developer productivity.
  • Develop new tools and processes to streamline development workflows and improve code quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools, and assess how they can be leveraged to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure that productivity tools and practices comply with regulatory and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in your development environment (e.g., Java, Kotlin).
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git, including branching strategies and workflows.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Development Workflow OptimizationExperience in setting up and maintaining development environments, including containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
  • Best practices and tools of Monitoring and ObservabilityExperience with logging systems, application performance monitoring (APM), and alerting mechanisms.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience across the Testing Pyramid.
