Job Summary

This role is for a Senior/Lead Python Automation QA to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation, working on high-tech medical devices. The successful candidate will have experience in QA testing, preferably with robotic systems or similar hardware.

About the Role

The Senior Automation Tester will be responsible for comprehensive testing of the robotic arm system, ensuring high accuracy and reliability in various scenarios. This includes manual and automated tests, boundary testing, accuracy testing, speed movement testing, and obstacle avoidance testing.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of QA methodologies and testing processes, with experience in ROS2 (Robot Operating System) for simulation testing. Proficiency in Python for writing test scripts and automation is also required. Familiarity with Industrial Automation Robots is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive testing of the robotic arm system, ensuring high accuracy and reliability in various scenarios
- Perform manual and automated tests on the robotic arm, including boundary testing, accuracy testing, speed movement testing, and obstacle avoidance testing
- Utilize ROS2 simulator for testing robotic movements and interactions
- Develop and execute test scripts using Python for automation purposes
- Prepare detailed test reports and documentation for each test scenario
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve issues
- Lead testing efforts on Industrial Automation Robots (UR5e), ensuring compatibility and performance

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in QA testing, preferably with robotic systems or similar hardware
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies and testing processes
- Experience with ROS2 (Robot Operating System) for simulation testing
- Proficiency in Python for writing test scripts and automation
- Familiarity with Industrial Automation Robots
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and environments quickly
- Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
