We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Solutions Architect to join our Product Security Team at Zendesk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing complex, highly scaled systems and implementing tools and processes that enable secure software development.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of application security experience, a team-first approach, and the ability to explain security considerations to others. Experience with agile development processes, penetration testing, and web application security is also a plus.

In this role, you will automate and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines at scale, partner with engineers through our Security Champions program, and respond to customer security questions and issues. You will also support incident response efforts and work with teammates to investigate them.

What You'll Do:
  • Secure customer-facing applications, primarily web technologies
  • Perform threat modeling and review software design in partnership with Zendesk Engineering
  • Partner with Zendesk Engineering through our Security Champions program
  • Automate and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines at scale
  • Evaluate, implement, and operationalize additional tooling as needed
What You Bring:
  • At least 5 years of application security experience
  • Team-first, collaborative approach
  • Experience securing complex, highly scaled systems
  • Penetration testing experience/ability to verify common web vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of modern web applications, including their security threats and vulnerabilities
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
