About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fraud Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a Fraud Prevention Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring business and operational security of the company, protecting it from fraud and deepening the trust of our business partners.

You will be responsible for evaluating threats, identifying new exploit methods, preparing strategies to minimize them, and implementing suitable prevention solutions. You will also create and perfect systems and processes of gathering and storing data, laying the foundations for analytical work.

Your tasks will include preparing detailed reports regarding detected exploits, as well as documenting their types, scale, and methods used to commit them. You will work closely with other teams to ensure the security and stability of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzing data to deepen the understanding of potential threats, problems, and consequences of decisions being made
  • Identifying economical and financial trends in fraud which would create risks for the company, as well as preventing them effectively whenever possible
  • Gathering data from diverse sources to prepare detailed evaluations
  • Optimizing risk metrics
  • Creating reports, summaries, presentations, and processes
  • Cooperating with other people in the department to prepare effective analyses and presentations of data
  • Preparing systems and processes of gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
  • Monitoring internal and external data influencing the risk level of decisions being made
  • Identifying supervision deficiencies, as well as presenting oral and written, technical and non-technical recommendations, depending on the needs
  • Conducting A/B testing aimed towards optimizing risk metrics
  • Verifying acquired data
Requirements
  • At least 2-5 years of experience as payment fraud analyst in e-commerce and fintech
  • Ability to set priorities and deliver projects on time
  • Good oral and written communication skills required to inform supervisors and stakeholders about results
  • Ability to manage parallel projects and programs effectively in order to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret transaction information
  • Ability to face challenges and verify assumptions effectively
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to look for simple, optimal solutions
  • Ability to think creatively and present fresh ideas of making work more efficient
  • Detective skills
  • Ability to gain new knowledge and develop skills
  • Fluency in oral and written English at least at the B2 level
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL, including merging and analyzing large datasets, in order to identify behavior patterns and provide a direction for decision-making
  • Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI
