Luxoft's agile operating model enables us to deliver innovative solutions to clients. As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will be part of the Principal Flow Trading stream in Krakow, working closely with the front office to build and support exchange-facing electronic trading applications.

Your responsibilities will include designing, developing and supporting front-office trading applications, working closely with business users to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative solutions.

You will apply a broad range of software engineering practices to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions, focusing on both functional and non-functional needs.

As part of our global development team, you will work closely with your colleagues to further develop and innovate the trading applications, building observability into our solutions, monitoring production health, helping to resolve incidents, and remediating the root cause of risks and issues.

Sharing knowledge and expertise with your colleagues, helping with hiring, and contributing regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities are also key aspects of this role.

Mandatory Skills Description:

  1. Excellent backend stack programming skills are essential.
  2. A strong understanding of SQL and database knowledge is required.
  3. Taking an automated approach to testing ensures delivery of high-quality solutions.
  4. Serving as a hands-on technical expert with an interest in learning new technologies and practices is key.
  5. Experience in a similar position focused on derivatives technology is highly desirable.
  6. A strong communicator with experience of working in a front office environment, facing off to the business and picking up business knowledge at every opportunity is needed.
  7. The ability to play a full part in a closely knitted team environment is essential.
  8. Demonstrating the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and potentially juggle several tasks at the same time is critical.
  9. A minimum of 8 years of experience is required.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

  1. An understanding of industry standard messaging protocols, such as FIX and Kafka, would be advantageous.
