Amentum is seeking a seasoned Language Specialist to join our team in support of the European Command (EUCOM). This position will provide linguist support services to EUCOM, including logistics management and linguist support for interpreting, translating, and transcribing information in support of EUCOM operations.

Job Summary

This is a great opportunity for an experienced language professional to work with our team in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a Language Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Program Manager with daily site operations and resourcing requirements within designated areas.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Program Manager with day-to-day operational activities at respective sites
  • Point of contact for the respective site(s)
  • Ensure operational processes facilitate meeting performance/mission requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Human Resources, or related field; or Associate degree (or European equivalent) in any field plus 5 years' experience as an interpreter, translator, ESL or foreign language instructor, or linguist supervisor/program manager
  • Fluency in C2/C2 (CEF Scale) in a Slavic or East European language (Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian, Bulgarian, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Albanian, Hungarian, or Romanian)
  • Minimum 5 years of management/administrative experience within United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR) required
  • Experience as an interpreter, translator, ESL or foreign language instructor, or linguist supervisor/program manager in EUCOM Theater area of operations preferred
Benefits

Amentum offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
