About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team in Hitachi Energy Poland Sp. z o.o. as part of our R&D organization.

Job Description

As an Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining embedded software solutions for our HVDC systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software components, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing embedded software solutions using C/C++ programming languages;
  • Developing and testing software components for HVDC systems, including firmware and device drivers;
  • Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components;
  • Debugging and troubleshooting software issues, working closely with the development team to resolve problems efficiently;
  • Maintaining and updating existing software solutions to ensure they remain compatible with evolving system requirements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming languages and experience with embedded systems development;
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems and their applications in embedded systems;
  • Understanding of electrical hardware schematics and PCB layout;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing;
  • Proficiency in using basic electrical tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
