The role of a Protection Specialist Leader is crucial to HSBC Service Delivery, as it requires a skilled professional to drive the development and implementation of policies and strategies for user device protection.

This position demands an in-depth understanding of various types of devices, their associated risks, and regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze performance data, identify areas for improvement, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead policy and strategies to drive required capabilities for different user devices.
  • Collaborate with peers and business leads to build and implement controls aligned with risk-posture, architectural constraints, company strategic direction, and industry trends.
  • Demonstrate expertise in customer and stakeholder requirements by providing specialist input and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and changes in future business requirements and ensure appropriate reactions through discourse and implementation of relevant solutions.
  • Support the development of the Global Defence – Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations Team.
  • Communicate complex technical issues to diverse audiences.

Requirements:

  • Leadership experience with large, complex programmes and deeply technical global expert teams.
  • Background in information systems, technology, architecture, design, and service delivery of defense-in-depth capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate complex issues.
  • Excellent understanding of cybersecurity principles, global financial services business models, regional compliance standards, and applicable laws.
  • Experience working in highly regulated, large multi-national environments.
  • Cyber Security Operations experience and Operating System management or support experience.

A Compelling Offer
