About the Role

Ramboll is seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer to join our global Offshore Wind Engineering team. As a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design deliveries of offshore wind turbine support structures and foundations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare project-specific detailed and complex 3D models and 2D drawings, representing large steel structures such as monopile or jacket foundations for offshore wind turbines.
  • Prepare manufacturing plans and section overviews for individual components such as profiles and weld details, as well as complete structural assemblies, in close collaboration with the design engineers.
  • Ensure models and drawings are prepared in accordance with the required standards and procedures to ensure high-quality final drawings.
  • Support the project teams in bid invitations by implementing conceptual designs and generating various project-specific design drawings, such as sketches, 2D/3D drawings, collision design in 3D, and similar.
  • Further develop and maintain internal CAD standards and manuals, as well as develop optimized ways of building 3D models and exporting 2D drawings.
  • Closely collaborate with other Ramboll units worldwide, ensuring streamlined and optimized working and quality-assurance procedures.
  • Take part in internal development activities to continuously improve and optimize our design.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled CAD Engineer with a proven track record of working with 3D CAD design software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor. You should have a strong understanding of architectural and structural steel design and fabrication, as well as experience in preparing 3D models and 2D drawings.
