Join Charles River Development and State Street's Fin Tech division in innovating and transforming the cloud-based Front Office technology of the State Street Alpha Platform.

As a Junior Software Engineer for Financial Platforms, you will be an integral part of an agile organization and contribute to the development of one or more CRD/Alpha Platform modules.

Under the guidance of senior engineers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of large and complex software enhancements and solutions within the CRD/Alpha Platform domains.
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problems.
  • Participating in the agile software development process, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

You will have the opportunity to develop practical experience with object-oriented programming, operating systems, relational databases, scripting, and new/advanced programming languages. You will also learn how to build event-driven architectures, develop cloud-native services, and work with popular frameworks like Junit and Cucumber.

As a member of the CRD/Alpha Platform Engineering organization, you will be part of a team that is shaping the future of financial technology. You will have the chance to build knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, and other cutting-edge technologies, and to develop business acumen in Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management.
