Procurement and Logistics Specialist with German

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Logistics Specialist with German language proficiency to join our team at ABB Business Services. As a key member of our Procurement function, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of purchasing and logistics-related activities to support our businesses.

Your primary focus will be on executing assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures, showcasing your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and foster professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and logistics, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be comfortable working in a hybrid environment and have a passion for proactive working, flexibility, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
  • Design and implement effective plans and strategies for local sourcing of products and materials to achieve business targets.
  • Manage day-to-day cooperation with a portfolio of international approved suppliers, ensuring the needs of both internal and external customers are met.
  • Track goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure accurate invoice processing.
  • Align supplier orders with customer requirements based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements, focusing on content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.
  • Conduct all procurement activities for goods and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Highly skilled in working with SAP/Ariba and the purchasing or finance market.
  • Established skills and experience in a shared services environment.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of advanced Excel skills.
  • Passionate about proactive working, flexibility, and teamwork.
  • Degree in a relevant field or proven experience in purchasing or finance.
  • At ease communicating in German (B2+) and English (B2).
