Job Title: High-Quality Lighting Specialist

We are looking for an experienced High-Quality Lighting Specialist to join our team at Technicolor Creative Studios. This is an opportunity to work with a talented group of artists, producers, and directors to deliver high-quality visual effects and content production projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently and navigate a fast-paced environment
  • Create HDRIs, light rigs using grey chrome balls and macbeth charts
  • Lookdev assets, scene building, shot lighting, create/maintain lightcomps
  • Lighting and rendering photo-real and stylized CG for advertising and digital projects
  • Working closely with other CG/VFX Artists, across multiple locations to deliver the highest quality work
  • Taking on more generalist CG work when needed
  • Leading, supervising and mentoring junior lighters/artists
  • Assisting VFX/CG Leads and Producers to breakdown and bid on projects

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience minimum
  • Must be a proactive and self-driven creative problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in Lighting and Rendering CG for advertising, feature film or animation production
  • Experience using Maya / Houdini / Arnold / Nuke
  • Strong understanding of a VFX lighting production pipeline
  • Excellent communication skills to enable you to work well in a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
  • Generalist CG/VFX skills a plus
  • Willingness to learn and grow, with strong time and project management skills
