Cloud Operation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operation Engineer to join our dynamic team As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based systems.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, focusing on virtualization, containers, and automation. You will collaborate closely with our technical architects and operational teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure using virtualization, containers, and automation tools.
• Migrate products to container technology such as Kubernetes and provisioning platforms like vRealize Automation.
• Reverse engineer legacy architecture, identifying key weaknesses and readiness for security, reliability, simplicity, performance, and operational agility.
• Work hand-in-hand with technical architects and operational teams to design out weaknesses and improve overall system resilience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud operation engineering, virtualization, or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of programming concepts and one of the following programming/scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, Bash.
• Experience with integrating automation solutions (Jenkins, Ansible, Gitlab) and preferably vRA.
• Familiarity with container provisioning platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of computer networking and virtualization.
• Ability to build collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience with vSphere and NSX-T.
• Familiarity with service design in the context of cloud-based solutions.
• Stay current with new technologies and techniques as appropriate.
• Kubernetes certification is considered an asset.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
