Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and operate tools, services, and workflows that deliver high value to key business problems.
- Be responsible for the development of key components of a hybrid on-prem/cloud compute platform for both interactive and scalable batch processing.
- Establish processes and workflows to transition existing HPC users and teams to this platform.
- Responsible for code-driven environment, applications, and container/image builds as well as CI/CD driven application deployments.
The Senior Compute Platform Engineer will work closely with science users to ensure a deep understanding of software engineering, algorithms, and underlying hardware infrastructure and their impact on performance. This role requires confidence in optimizing design and execution of complex solutions within large-scale distributed computing environments.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in cloud expertise (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform, and experience with CI/CD implementations using git and a common CI/CD stack.
