Indirect Tax Analyst



About the Role

We are seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst to join our RTR Indirect Tax team based in EMEA SSC. As part of a team of around 8 people, you will be responsible for ensuring the complete, accurate, and timely processing of Indirect Tax processes, including VAT Accounting, Reconciliation, and month-end reporting. This will involve working closely with the team to comply with internal guidelines and procedures as well as external requirements.

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure efficiency and high quality of Indirect Tax/VAT processes
  • Accelerate value and make an impact by performing day-to-day Indirect Tax/VAT operations
  • Review and support on Indirect Tax/VAT Accounting
  • Perform reconciliations and month-end reporting
  • Prepare and review VAT journal entries
  • Prepare standard reports
  • Verify that transactions are booked according to accounting policy
  • Play an active role in new transition processes and continuous improvement and standardization processes
  • Create and maintain process-related documentation (SOPs)
  • Collaborate with GL, AP, and Local Markets team members
  • Perform daily tasks and interact with people at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction levels
  • Ensure existing policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure legal requirements are respected and service quality is maintained
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) meet requirements


About You

We are looking for someone with eagerness to develop, learn, and operate in the Indirect Tax/VAT area. A basic understanding of accounting or Indirect Tax/VAT processes is required. You should have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are essential. Additionally, you should have good attention to detail, a mature attitude towards challenges and problem-solving, and the ability to work across cultures with all levels of the organization and different functions. Self-confidence and a growth mindset attitude are also essential. You should be able to work according to deadlines and set priorities, and have MS Office skills.
