About You:
To succeed in this role as Category Development Lead at Fresenius Medical Care, you should have a strong background in supply chain management and quality assurance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve supplier performance and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and approve preferred suppliers in cooperation with Quality & Procurement teams.
- Qualify suppliers, processes & products according to the Fresenius Advanced Quality Planning (FAQP) program.
- Ensure FAQP topics are covered, gate reviews held, and relevant actions monitored in project teams.
- Assure production maturity for handover to production teams, including safe launch.
- Support design and drawing review to achieve targeted outcomes for quality standards, structure, and content.
- Prepare and conduct supplier process audits and releases.
- Resolve repeat escalations regarding product non-conformities and general improvement actions.
- Apply Toyota Production System (TPS) principles to analyze and streamline supplier production methods.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve quality while maintaining or lowering costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to implement Lean techniques optimizing production flow, enhancing quality, and driving down lead times.
- Track and report on supplier performance, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Work closely with Quality, Procurement, MSC & Verticals to improve and secure product- and process quality.
- Coordinate activities and Supplier Performance Engineering resources supporting new addition and/or change projects with Technical Project Procurement Team (TPPM).
- Monitor TPPM project progress to identify and mitigate potential Supplier performance-related risks (Quality, reliability, delivery, sustainability).
