  • We operate fully remotely, allowing you to work from wherever suits you best.
  • You have the flexibility to set your own time commitment, as long as it meets the minimum requirement of 30 hours per week.

We offer remuneration on a B2B contract with flexible rates based on inflation adjustments twice a year:

  • A competitive hourly rate (USD 45-70 or PLN 190-295) or
  • A monthly salary (USD 7560-11760 or PLN 31920-49560) if you work 40 hours per week (most of us work fewer hours).
  • A flexible work schedule measured with a time tracker.

We need someone with extensive programming experience, including at least a year of hands-on Python development. You should be well-versed in solving complex problems and choose the most Pythonic solution every time. While technical skills are essential, we also value passion, drive, and a pride in one's work.

Working at Reef in Practice

Reef Technologies is a fully remote Python backend software house. We're a small, agile team composed of senior-only members, all with more than five years of strong experience. Our founder doesn't just handle sales, bureaucracy, and client relationships – he's also a programmer, so we all work together and understand the task at hand.

We prioritize freedom at Reef. We mostly work asynchronously, meaning apart from a few meetings, you're free to code at any hour you prefer. Our staff members live across different time zones, and we accommodate everyone's needs for synchronous engagements.

What scheduled commitments can you expect? Every week, we hold a general news & celebrations call and a decision-making Sociocracy call for the whole team. Our main project also has a weekly planning call and dailies, but depending on the project and client you work for, your meeting schedule might be different. Rest assured that your needs will be taken into account when we plan it.

We strive to ensure proper work-life balance and create an environment where you can focus on your code while working and on whatever brings you joy in your free time.
