About the Role:

The Warehouse Engineering Manager at Kramp will oversee the design and analysis of operational strategies for various projects within the company's warehouses. The focus will be on Material Handling Equipment solutions, including process and methods analysis, cost management, capacity improvement, and optimizing routing and shipments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design engineering solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design that conforms to organizational standards.
  2. Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.
  3. Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and specify the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  4. Work closely with suppliers, specifying requirements, challenging their solutions, monitoring the implementation, and aftercare, including contact with stakeholders.
  5. Manage day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.
  6. Continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.
  7. Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
  8. Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
  9. Deliver small-scale or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in (Mechanical) Engineering.
  2. Initial (3+ years) experience in a relevant work setting, e.g., automated e-commerce warehouses or production, or experience in a consultancy role.
  3. Background as mechanical engineer is considered an asset.
  4. Experience with AutoCAD to successfully design systems.
  5. Good project management or ambition to increase responsibility in this role.
  6. You are an analytical person, conceptually strong, and organizational savvy.
  7. Willingness to travel (10% of your time - in Europe).
