About the Project

AVAG Holding SE, a leading automobile trading group in Europe, is seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join their team on an enterprise transformation project. The project involves replacing legacy systems with a new enterprise architecture solution, developed from scratch.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement backend services, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles to create robust and maintainable code.
  • Work with DevOps Engineers to implement CI/CD pipelines for streamlined development and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
Requirements
  • Senior+ Level (5+ years of experience) in backend development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8+, Symfony, DDD, TDD, Microservices, REST API, API Design, SOLID principles.
  • Strong API development and design skills.
  • Experience in event-driven architecture, microservices patterns, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Experience with testing concepts and CI/CD.
  • Willingness to contribute to technical documentation and adherence to security best practices.
  • Familiarity with queue systems such as RabbitMQ and Amazon SQS.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Experience in working with virtual, distributed teams.
  • Ability to work and think independently and autonomously.
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop solution options, and make decisions.
