Job Description
As a Ruby on Rails Developer (Mid Level), you will play a key role in designing and implementing new features and applications that meet the evolving needs of our clients. You will work closely with our Product Owner to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring timely delivery and seamless integration with existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to design and implement new features and applications.
- Identify and resolve bugs in existing applications.
- Develop and execute automated tests to ensure application stability and reliability.
- Manually test features on the staging environment to guarantee quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of commercial experience working with Ruby on Rails.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SQL and Linux operating systems.
- Ability to deliver functionality with minimal assistance from others.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Appreciation for good code-level testing practices.
- Fluent spoken and written English language skills.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday within core office hours (10:00-16:00 Irish Summer Time/GMT).
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud-based software like Azure.
- DevOps expertise, particularly with Ansible.
- Familiarity with Turbolinks or Turbo, Hotwire, Stimulus, Kamal, or React.JS.
