Backend Engineering Role
Turnitin, LLC is looking for a highly skilled Fullstack/Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend services using Java and serverless technologies. You will also contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement scalable backend services using Java and serverless technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, and engineering leads to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and ensuring adherence to software development standards.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development with proficiency in Java and familiarity with serverless frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation, and RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and data modeling.
