Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Game Designer at People Can Fly, you will be responsible for the development of a game's core mechanics, ensuring a high level of quality and engagement. This includes:

  • Designing and implementing game features, mechanics, and systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including programming, animation, and art, to ensure a cohesive and polished final product.
  • Providing clear and concise design documentation to facilitate communication and understanding among team members.
  • Identifying and addressing technical issues, working closely with the programming team to resolve problems and implement solutions.
  • Participating in playtesting and feedback sessions to ensure the game meets the desired level of quality and engagement.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced game designer with a strong background in game development, particularly in Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 6 years of professional game design experience, with a strong focus on technical game design.
  • Experience working on AAA games, with a successful shipped title on PC or console.
  • Strong knowledge of game design principles, including game mechanics, level design, and player psychology.
  • Proficiency in visual scripting systems, such as Blueprints, and programming languages, such as C++.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
