Job Summary

:

As a seasoned construction professional, you will oversee the organization and direction of project construction activities, ensuring total site management, supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting are all aligned with project goals. Your leadership will guarantee project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope, and budget, while maintaining client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate construction activities, including all actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  2. Responsible for total site management, including management of construction subcontractors, professional staff, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and workforce services.
  3. Ensure the development and execution of the Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
  4. Implement Bechtel's Zero Accident safety program, security, housekeeping, and fire protection on the construction site, adhering to Polish law and safety codes.
  5. Establish and implement construction schedules, methods, manning charts, material, and equipment requirements.
  6. Control all job-site expenditures for labor, equipment, material, and services, ensuring field operations are within budget.
  7. Responsible for overall project performance, analyzing performances for adherence to quality standards and schedules.
  8. Plan and establish procedures to ensure all construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.
  9. Ensure corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented, establishing project field procedures in conjunction with corporate standards, as necessitated by project conditions and client requirements.
  10. Responsible for labor harmony on the jobsite, coordinating activities with corporate workforce services departments.
  11. Maintain effective client relationships, serving as the primary contact for client communication with field activities.
  12. Maintain an effective relationship with other functional departments.
  13. Develop, implement, and administer a job-site security plan, coordinating activities with corporate Security department.
  14. Coordinate all job-site contractual activities, participating in contracts and subcontracts negotiations.
  15. Direct the development and implementation of a training program to ensure subordinate personnel receives progressive training to assume additional responsibilities, responsible for overall construction training and testing as required.
  16. Responsible for implementing an effective community relations plan for the site.
  17. Ensure required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of affected work at the site.
  18. Responsible and accountable for construction license reporting, including construction Logbook entries and required notifications for permit closure.
  19. Responsible for implementing cost savings methodologies in the Construction organization and promoting other continuous improvement processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Requires a bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 18+ years of relevant experience or 22+ years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Must be a chartered registered engineer and capable of being the registered construction manager at site as required by Polish law.
  2. Must be authorized to work in Poland.
  3. Applicants must have native-level proficiency in Polish.
  4. Must be able to obtain an office or site security badge.
  5. This project may have multiple work schedules that are subject to change and may require employees to work overtime, weekends, and/or night shift when a business need arises. Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
  6. Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience, including management of multifunctional organizations.
  7. Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of all disciplines, construction technologies, and jobsite management.
  8. Knowledge of the phases of project scoping, planning, procurement of materials using Engineering Inspection Records, Field Material Requisitions/Material Withdrawal Requests, and execution relating to the construction of multi-discipline works. Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
  9. Thorough knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy or equivalent. Experience managing both subcontracted and self-performed/direct hire labor construction projects. Experience in executing various contracting strategies, including Lum Sum Turnkey (LSTK), Cost Plus, Time and Material, Unit Rate type contracts.
  10. Thorough knowledge of the content and implementation of Nuclear Quality Policies on Construction Projects.
  11. Thorough knowledge of the content and implementation of Labor Management Plans. Direct hire execution experience managing projects of $300M or greater.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior Nuclear/EPC construction experience as a Construction Manager.
  2. Prior experience with commercial Nuclear Power projects or Government Nuclear Facilities.
  3. Prior international experience in establishment of training programs/camp and key infrastructure for camp operations.
  4. Prior experience as assigned licensed/chartered registered site construction manager in Poland or EU responsible for implementing permit requirements, construction logbook, and permit closure.
