Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer Leader to join our team at Xebia sp. z o.o. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with extensive experience in data engineering, cloud computing, and Azure technologies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying large-scale infrastructure using distributed systems. They will work closely with the architecture team to develop patterns for data processing and workflow definitions. Additionally, they will evaluate technical designs and translate them into workable solutions that meet industry standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. They must also be able to define data retention policies and monitor performance to advise on necessary infrastructure changes.

Requirements

* 8 years of experience in data engineering
* 2+ years of experience with Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, Data Lake, Power BI, DevOps, CosmosDB)
* Strong T-SQL skills
* Python scripting skills
* Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
* Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required
