We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Lead - Europe to join our team, responsible for ensuring the effective management of data usage across the region. As a key member of our Data & Analytics Office (DAO), you will play a critical role in promoting a data-driven culture, protecting our data assets, and unlocking value for our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data governance principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective data management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and HSBC's policies.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective data management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and HSBC's policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data quality issues and develop solutions to address them.
  • Design and implement data governance frameworks, including data classification, retention, and disposal policies.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices and tools.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of data assets, including metadata and data lineage.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Experience with data quality tools and techniques.
